The Alpha-Alpha Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon was founded in 1927 and rechartered in 1967. In 2008, we proudly moved into a newly built house at 515 West Wabash Avenue. TKE consistently ranks high in Freshman GPA and cleanliness. The first racially integrated fraternity on campus, TKE prides itself on a tradition of diversity and acceptance. Containing diverse interests, backgrounds, and opinions, we work hard to inspire ethical and academic excellence. Since 1962, Tekes have come from over 23 different countries, with each frater adding to the unique character of the Fraternity. Frater Charles Hintz ‘13 wrote on TKE, “I only ask that we all continue to love good lives and seek the man within.” We hold this idea high in our slogan, “Better men for a better world”.
