In 1847 Theta Delta Chi was founded at Union college, in 1879 the Upsilon Deuteron charge of Theta Delta Chi made it’s first appearance at Wabash college. Little is know about the original chartering of Theta Delta Chi at Wabash. The charge went dormant shortly after its appearance and closed its doors in 1882. After 110 years of being dormant the Upsilon Deuteron charge made a reappearance at Wabash in 1992. The charge is most well known for being a small house of innovators and leaders.
The Theta Delta Chi house has won numerous awards on campus and internationally. Some of the international awards consist of multiple ritual awards, a lot of service and philanthropy cups, and even more loyalty cups (highest percentage of alumni donors). Some of the awards from the college consist of winning 5 out of the 6 years of philanthropy cup and winning Pan-Hel in 2019.
Theta Delta Chi is one of the smallest houses on campus, with about 20 active brothers. The house really lives by the motto of quality over quantity. This is seen through the amount of campus leaders and innovators the house produces, with every brother involved in other groups on campus, sports teams, music ensembles, student senate, the pre-law society and health organizations. With such a small house the brothers focus of teaching future leaders and give multiple opportunities to take important positions in the house. The brothers also seek out to help improve the community by partaking in Philanthropy acts almost every week.
